PAYPAL, KORA CAPITAL LEAD PAYMOB’S $50 MILLION SERIES B RAISE

US-based venture capital firms, PayPal Ventures and Kora Capital have led Egyptian FinTech, Paymob’s Series B round.

Popular in Egypt, Paymob works with businesses and merchants to accept payments online and in-store through different methods.

Other investors that participated in the round are: Helios Digital Ventures, British International Investment, and Nclude.

GOMETRO SECURES ADDITIONAL $1 MILLION

As it continues its push for growth, South African logistics startup, GoMetro has raised an additional $1 million in an extended seed round.

The extended seed round had Kalon Venture Partners, Hlayisani Capital, Tritech Global, 4Decades Capital, and E Squared Investments participating.

GoMetro’s offering has been to enable transport and logistics services function more effectively and the new round raised will give them the funding to do so.

 

HEIFER INTERNATIONAL BACKS HELLO TRACTOR IN $1 MILLION RAISE

The agriculture sector is not left behind in the tech revolution as evidenced by the continued improvement of services and products that help farmers and farming thrive.

Hello Tractor helps farmers book tractors right from their phones, making the hassle of getting and paying for one a thing of the past.

The new $1 million raise by Hello Tractor in Nigeria is yet another proof that investors believe in the capability of agriculture. Led by Heifer International, the funding will allow Hello Tractor make its services accessible to even more farmers.
